Welcome to Day 7 of our 9 Day Novena as we pray about "The Spirit's Gifts." In this powerful prayer, we come in awe before God, the giver of every perfect spiritual gift through His Holy Spirit. We look to the examples in Scripture of the Spirit's outpouring in the early church - the bold preaching, miraculous healings, gift of tongues, and demonstrations of God's glory and might. We confess how we have at times neglected or grown complacent toward freely operating in the spiritual gifts the Spirit has imparted. We ask God to rekindle a fire and zeal within us to embrace the fullness of the Spirit's power and presence through His charismata - wisdom, prophecy, healing, miracles, tongues, interpretation, discernment and more. We invite the Holy Spirit to activate and intensify the gifts He has already given, helping us become proficient in using them to further God's Kingdom. We also open ourselves to receive any new spiritual gifts the Spirit desires to impart according to His will. Our desire is to freely allow the Holy Spirit's generous spiritual gifts to manifest and flow through us in an immense blaze for Kingdom purposes and God's glory alone.
